Friday

Today we are expecting another eighteen people from KC. These people were planning on helping with a container shipment that was supposed to be in Croix today. Because of some political stuff with the international Red Cross, the container got holed up in the DR for a few extra days. We are hopeful that the container of food and supplies will arrive by tomorrow. In the meantime, we will try to clear and even out a space in Pastor Joseph's land for more tents to be set up for more orphans. What is the most immediate need of these kids right now? Food? Water? No. The most immediate need is that these kids feel safe and secure. So if we can provide them with a flat ground and re-build walls around these ministry sites, that's a great start. I expect a lot of heavy lifting today moving stones and concrete rubble. Prayerfully the container will arrive in Croix tomorrow and the original container we came down here to work on will arrive in Mirebalais on Monday. If that happens, we will try to get up to Mirebalais to help our friends Frank Maiorana and Brian Kelso of GCA with their distribution work.

Sounds awesome. We should hang out in Haiti sometime.

Let's do it. How about we go to Mirebalais on a tap-tap some time, maybe in the next couple of days?
